Bird of Paradise Home Policy

Rate: The rates are based on 4 people.  Add additional $25/night per person. Rate for US holidays (Easter, Memorial, Independent, Labor, Thanksgiving) can be different.

Tax: Please add 11.42% Hawaii state tax.

Cleaning fee: $350 standard out-cleaning fee.

Security deposit: A security deposit check of $500 is required to hold the reservation.

For longer stay than 14 nights, $1,000 is required to hold the reservation. Full payment is due 60 days prior to the arrival. $200 cancellation fee may applied.

Rental Payment: Full payment is due 45 days prior to arrival or 90 days prior to arrival for 15 night or longer stay. We accept personal checks and credit cards via PayPal for the security deposit. We accept personal check for the full payment. Minimum 5 nights booking and 14 nights over Christmas unless the calendar allows.

Cancellation: As much as we do not want this circumstance to happen, the following is a our cancellation policy. We will appreciate if you can let us know via e-mail with the subject:" CANCELLATION" We will open up the calendar and hope to get a replacement booking during your reservation time. Most of the time, we have a very high chance of rebooking the Bird of Paradise Home again since it represents an outstanding value for the price.

We charge $100 cancellation fee and if the cancellation is more than 90 days, we will return the rest of the security ($500-$100) at $400.

In case of cancellations less than 90 days before your arrival: we will keep the security deposit.

If the full payment already done, we will return the rental cost only if we could rebook the house again during your period. We might offer a special deal during the cancellation period to get a rebooking as soon as possible. Let say, instead of $2550/week, we will offer $1900/week deal during that time and hope to get rebooking as soon as possible. Then we will return the rental cost subtract the loss from special deal discount back to you. If despite all our efforts, there is no rebooking during your time, we will refund only the cleaning fee.

We believe this is fair for both sides and we will definitely do everything we can to make the cancellation process as smooth as possible.
